Tom’s little sister (well, one of them) is just blossoming before my very eyes. In just one year, she has become such a lady and to be honest, it is super fun that we can finally be on somewhat of the same level. Not that I don’t connect with kids, but there is something to be said about “girl talk” like discussions about antiques and Anthropologie…our favorite.

Here she is—Miss Bess…almost in high school and oh-so-faboosh!

Bess is a self-professed scarf junkie.

Tom is 17!

I can’t believe that Tom is seriously 17. One year older than last year. What a fine young man he is turning out to be. It is pretty much blowing my mind that we actually had a conversation about college applications. Time flies when you’re having fun, I suppose. It really seems like just yesterday that we had our first session! Two years later…

This is the bus that Tom and the Brenham Cub football team take for out of town games.
It’s basically one of his homes away from home.

Such a cutie, right?

Corrie is 15!

She’s grown up before my very eyes. I cannot believe that Corrie is SUCH a lady. Not a girl…a LADY. Last year, she was definitely embarking on that territory, but now, she has claimed lovely ladyland as her own, and is WORKIN’ IT! She’s still very passionate about musical production, so it’s a blast to get the scoop on all of the current shows from her. I love my time with Corrie. If I could have a little sister, I would likely choose her. Betsy and Jerry, watch out. I just might steal her.

Bess is Thirteen!

Oh, darling Bess…she is officially a teenager! She was much more kid-like at last year’s birthday session, but now…look out. She is on the verge of being a woman! Bess has her own way of doing things, and I admire her spirit so. She is just a vibrant, vivacious little thing who is so beautifully comfortable in her own skin.

Speaking of skin, I am so jealous. Check out her porcelain doll face. Doesn’t it make you want to run out to the beauty counter at Nordstrom and get some new products? Yeah, me too!

Tom is Sixteen!

Tom has grown up a ton in a year. Since his last birthday photo shoot, he has gotten taller and gained a new appendage: his brand new truck!

We had a blast hanging out together on his family’s ranch…dodging cow poo, climbing the banks near his creek, and driving around his the Silverado. His parents will be happy to know that we wore our seat belts!

Tom is still the same full meal deal, and is only getting better with age. He is such a classy guy, and I am absolutely honored to know this super cool sixteen year old.

America’s Next Sweetheart

Meet Corrie. She’s the sister of George, Tom, & Bess, and the final Newman offspring photo session for 2007. She may be last in line, but she is certainly not least. Tall, poised, with model-like qualities, Corrie could be commanding in nature, but she is actually quite the opposite. She is kind, gentle, and even slips back into the quiet spaces that hide behind all of the hoopla that comes with being in a family of 6. However, Corrie comes alive when on the stage, where she can show off her talents and even be a little commanding, even if only for a role.

Thanks to Brenham High School’s kickin’ Drama Director, Andy Hart, we got to sneak on stage and steal the spotlight for Corrie’s session. So, watch out Laura Bell Bundy and Kristin Chenoweth, Corrie is hot on your heels!

After stealing the spotlight, we drove out to Corrie’s grandmother’s house for some outdoor fun.

Corrie thought I was a hoot!
