Bump alert! Kelly and Jason, 2 of my most favoritest videographers ever, met up with me a couple of weeks ago to sweat, eat melty ice cream, discover the meaning of their baby’s name, get reprimanded by a pimple-faced teenager in Barnes & Noble, and sweat some more. Good times! We ended up hanging for a couple of hours and I am so glad I got to know them better…they’re my kinda peeps!

His name means WHAT?????????
If I remember correctly, it was something along the lines of Beautiful Swamp Thing.

Love love love this.

Almost shutdown here by the teenager.
As soon as they reached the bottom floor, we were dunzo.

But he couldn’t see us in the magazine section! Ha ha.

It was a scorcher, so we had to get Kelly and her belly cooled off.

A little rest time never hurt nobody.

Sarah :: Hot Mommy

My absolute best friend in the whole world is about to have her first child…a beautiful bouncing baby boy. I cannot wait to meet him and shower him with hugs and kisses and celebrate his arrival, but until then, I’m gonna celebrate her. She’s positively breathtaking, isn’t she? Sarah makes it look way too easy.

The 2nd year of Juxtapose Photography was phenomenal. I got to meet and learn about so many wonderful people through the lens and face to face. Amber is a Hot Mommy!

Amber is one of Katie’s best friends. Now Katie’s Bailey will have a new little friend come this October. Little Audrey Bliss is due on the scene in just seven short weeks, and I can’t wait to meet her! With Amber and Michael’s classic good looks, sense of humor, and fun-loving personalities, Miss Audrey is sure to be a humdinger of a baby! (That’s a good thing for those who aren’t from the South.)

Ashley is a Hot Mommy!

Imagine my surprise when one of my sorority sisters and fellow hellraiser at TCU contacts me to tell me she’s preggers. I was ecstatic for Ashley, and over the moon that she wanted to do a Let’s Rock Baby Plan to document her first baby’s milestones. She and her husband Chris are going to be the sweetest parents, and it is going to be a blast working with them over this next year. I can’t wait to meet Sweet Caroline…just another month and some days!

Ashley’s only real craving? Sprinkles cupcakes. Yummers.

Ashley has Caroline’s room ALL decked out. She even painted canvases and onesies and displayed heirloom items to perfection.

As a teacher, Ashley will undoubtedly be reading to Caroline nonstop.

There is just something about this next photograph. The way Chris looks at the oh-so-radiant Ashley is breathtaking and makes me nearly well up with tears of happiness for her and the life she has made for herself.

Damn, Texas is HOT.

In case of emergency, break out the fan. What a hot mommy, in every sense of the word “hot”!

Thanks, Ash and Chris, and I will see you in a few weeks for the newborn sesh and to meet your darling Caroline!

Amie :: Hot Mommy

Because she is about to go into labor at any given moment, I thought I would make Amie smile by showing her these. SO CUTE! She and Michael are preparing to welcome Miss Taylor Kate into their lives, and I will be photographing all of the little darling’s milestones. I can’t wait to meet her so I can say, “I knew you when you were in your mom’s tummy!”

How adorable is she?

Talk about a belly laugh. I bet Taylor Kate was even giggling at that one.

They are really quite precious together.

On Saturday morning, I met Katie and Paul Michael (or PM, as I call him) at the Shops at Legacy in Plano. It was such a lovely distraction from the breathing treatment factory that we call home. Bobby’s mom came to help us with Millie, so I eagerly seized my opportunity to regain some sanity and met up with Katie and PM. These two are near and dear to my heart, as they are loyal repeat clients who hired me when I was just getting started last November. THIS November, their little baby chica will be born! Katie and PM will be the most AMAZING parents, as they are both fun-loving with ginormous hearts. Plus, their careers could come in very handy! Katie is a fabulous nurse and PM is a preacher man, so I will gladly bet that their little girl will be healthy and spiritually fulfilled!

OK…how gorgeous are they???

And, go ahead. TRY to tell me that Katie doesn’t look like an absolute goddess in this next photograph. Just TRY!

If you are a faithful blog follower, I am guessing that you have noticed how I am quite drawn to SIGNS and often find a quirky little home for them in my images. For instance, Katie is NOW SHOWING, and is looking more beautiful than ever!

How smokin’ are these two? Get a room! Oh, oops…I guess you already did. =)

Another thing I tend to include in my sessions is BYSTANDER ACTIVITY in the background, or even bystanders engaged in some sort of activity WITH the main subject. People make the world go ’round, and I adore capturing unique connections between my clients and their surrounding environment.

Check out the mom and kid on the trikes behind Katie and PM…this will be them in about 2 years!

After we had exhausted the Shops, we headed to Katie’s parents’ house for another little project a la Juxtapose.

The concept that most sets me apart from other photogs the way I UTILIZE FOOD AND DRINKS IN MY SESSIONS. It was not a conscious decision to include it when I first started, but it has since evolved into a definite source of my inspiration. Food can be so representative of personality, of a moment, or of an emotion, that it has become so natural for me to want to include it in shoots. Plus, I think my clients dig it, as well!

I know Katie did. (Two snaps for anyone who just got that little joke.) During her pregnancy, Katie has craved chocolate chip cookies like Lohan craves the drink, so I thought we should whip up a batch and let her go to town!

PM’s little cookie monster! Just don’t tell her doctor she is eating that cookie dough!
