Leah + Corey :: Engaged!
One of my favorite-est girls in the whole wide world is Leah. I have known her for too long to put into numbers. Her older sister, Jana, and I were best friends in high school, and Leah was often our hilarious jester-like third wheel. Over the years, Jana went her way, and I went mine. No hard feelings between us, but we just kinda grew apart, I guess. I suppose the reason Leah and I kept contact is that we have a load of similarities, and that seemed to bring us back together. For instance, we speak the same language. No, not English. Blunt-ish. Sassy-ish. Dry sense of humor-ish. Sarcasm. We both possess personalities as big as the moon and have hearts that are also about that size. So…that’s Leah.
Now for my blurb on Corey. I’ve known Corey since I was in 4th grade. When he moved to Brenham, I totally had a nerdy little crush on him, and now L + C won’t let me forget it, much to my dismay. He’s such a laid back guy who treats his mom and grandmother and of course, Leah, like queens, plus he just loves to horse around and have fun. He’s true blue loyal and that kind of guy that everyone likes. You can’t NOT like Corey.
Together, Leah and Corey are ying and yang. They work. It is like they have always been together. I never could envision what type of guy Leah would marry, but Corey completes that picture so perfectly, and I couldn’t be more ecstatic to be a part of their big day! I love them!
To start their engagement session, we went out to the ranch where their wedding will be held. I got giddy upon arrival at the hills and the fences and the pond complete with old boats and a wooden pier and don’t EVEN get me started on all of the cool trinkets laying around the ranch house. From there, we went to one of my fave little towns, Round Top. I hadn’t been in ages, but was so excited to make this the backdrop of their images. Round Top’s atmosphere is so wonderfully slow-movin’ that I wish I could soak in it for days on end. You’ll see. Check it out!

Smoochin’ in the ranch house.

Leah has the BEST. LAUGH. EVER.

Say it with me, “Awwwwww.”

We had to stop by my buddy Tara’s family’s cafe for a bit.
Anybody who is into food is surely aware of The Round Top Cafe.
Next time I’m in town I’ll hafta see if Miss Tara will let me photograph some goodies for the blog!
Favorite! These kids are the cutest!

Another favorite!

So sweet!

Millie thinks this is Leah’s car now.
She keeps asking why Leah glued all of those pennies to her car.

Ohmigaaaaaahhhhh. I just really love these with this car. All of ‘em!

Love you, Leah and Corey! I cannot wait until October!!!
